These three versions are manufactured in different locations depending on the factory. The rear-wheel drive version is now manufactured in Asia in the GigaFactory in Shanghai and is imported directly to Europe, while the Long Range versions have been manufactured mainly in Berlin for the past three months instead of Shanghai. Finally, the Performance version has been manufactured in Berlin, Germany, since the beginning of its commercialisation and has never been imported from another factory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Berlin, Germany factory has been in the news since the beginning because Tesla’s goal was to offer a state-of-the-art paint booth that could compete with handmade paint jobs. This advantage allows for multi-coating with the ability to apply 12 to 13 successive coats. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The result is the appearance of two new colours for the vehicles leaving the Berlin factory, Midnight Cherry Red and Quicksilver Grey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
