MaierEV carbon front spoiler - Tesla Model 3
Maier, a company specialized in performance improvement and research. First in 1969 they started to work on 1965-1970 Mustang with the main objective to improve the performance on track. Today they work with fiberglass but also with carbon and various mechanical parts.
Initially this part was created specifically for the Time Attack Global race held in Buttonwillow, California. The results were to gain seconds per lap due to the stability at high speeds.
The front spoiler is designed to reduce the amount of air passing under the front bumper. It also directs air to the radiator, which provides additional cooling that is very helpful in maintaining performance.
The pieces are handmade in California and the installation is quite simple thanks to the 6 fixing points and the adhesive tape that helps to fix the piece.
Variants: 2 : carbon or matte black gel coat
Be careful to differentiate between the two variants.
Both variants are made on the same base, with transparent gel coat of carbon fiber, then fiberglass in the middle to improve the damage resistance. Finally the variants differ on the finish, the glossy carbon variant is finished with carbon fiber and UV resistant varnish and the matte black Gel Coat finish is finished with matte black UV resistant Gel coat as the last layer.
