Tesla had presented in December 2021 its “CyberQuad for Kids” and had created a real craze for this product which opened the way to the CyberTruck and the CyberQuad. However, the story seems to be getting darker and Radio Flyer, the company that manufactures the “CyberQuad for Kids” has just warned all customers of a product recall action due to a safety concern
What is the Tesla CyberQuad for Kids?
During the presentation of the CyberTruck on November 21, 2019, Elon Musk had taken the opportunity to show a new 4-wheeled product, the CyberQuad. Faced with the excitement of the Twitter sphere Elon Musk had announced by a tweet that this product would indeed be the subject of a future marketing and a product in its own right. It should be released at the same time as the pickup and should give a lot of sensations to its two occupants
But what is the CyberQuad for Kids?
In December 2021, Tesla made a surprise for Christmas and proposed on its website a reduced version of the CyberQuad for kids. The object was posted at 1900$ and it was sold to hundreds of copies in less than 10 hours
With a removable 36V lithium-ion battery, which promises to offer up to 15 miles of autonomy, or about 24 km. That’s pretty generous for a kid’s toy. Tesla said the battery can be fully recharged in five hours using a household outlet. Speaking of performance, the model has a configurable top speed between 5 miles per hour and 10 miles per hour.
But where can we find this CyberQuad?
Our company GreenDrive was lucky enough to be connected to Tesla’s website last December, and we were able to get it. We now have the only CyberQuad for children in Europe, here in France
It is now displayed in our store in Claix (near Grenoble) and we bring it with us to all Tesla events for the pleasure of the young and the old!

Radio Flyer recalls all CyberQuad for Kids and offers a refund
Radio Flyer seems to have had some concerns with the safety of the CyberQuad for Kids, indeed an email has just reached us announcing the recall of our quad. It would seem that the Consumer Product Safety Commissionin voluntary agreement with the company Radio Flyer have issued a complete recall of all vehicles
The vehicle appears to not meet the mandatory federal safety standards for children’s ATVs. The mechanical suspension as well as the maximum tire pressure appear to be at fault. The Consumer Product Safety Commission and Radio Flyer are encouraging consumers to immediately stop using the recalled product and follow Radio Flyer’s instructions.
Consumers are encouraged to immediately stop using the recalled product and follow Radio Flyer’s instructions to remove the motor controller from the Cyberquad for Kids, which will permanently disable the product. Consumers who return the motor controller to Radio Flyer are eligible for a full refund
The incident that set this procedure in motion appears to be a rollover of the CyberQuad while riding with an 8-year-old child and a 36-year-old woman. The quad rolled over and the adult suffered a shoulder injury
Having used it, the CyberQuad for Kids can flip over very easily and the vehicle seems very unstable in turns when the speed increases
As a result, even Tesla seems to have disabled the product page on its Shop
