Until recently, Tesla only offered and manufactured Tesla Model 3 Standard Range in its Chinese factory! So Tesla has just unveiled two new models of the Tesla Model 3 in China:
- Tesla Model 3 LongRange 2-wheel drive propulsion
- Tesla Model 3 Performance 4-wheel drive
This new version of the Tesla Model 3 LongRange and Performance Made In China, reaches a maximum range of 668km per charge, calculated using a calculation method specific to China.
In order to make a comparison with our WLTP calculation method, based on the Model 3 SR+, the WLTP indicates 409Km compared to 445Km in China, i.e. 9% less.
Applied to this new version of the Tesla Model 3 LongRange, the range increases from 668Km to 612km, which is still more than 50Km more than our European version.
Whether it’s a new partnership or new technology, we don’t know what’s causing this increase, but we hope it’s also happening on vehicles made in America.
