A Tesla needs a different care routine from a conventional combustion car. Its materials — vegan leather, alcantara, plastics — call for suitable products. Its bodywork, often exposed to intensive daily use, deserves a structured routine. Here is how to proceed from A to Z, from the wheels to the cabin, with GYEON products.

1. Start with the wheels
Wheels are the area most exposed to grime: tar spray, road residue and brake dust. The latter, although less present on a Tesla thanks to regenerative braking, still builds up on alloy wheels and becomes ingrained if it is not treated regularly. Starting with the wheels avoids recontaminating bodywork that is already clean.
Step 1 — Clean the wheels
Spray Q²M Iron WheelCleaner onto dry or slightly damp wheels. Leave it to work for 2 to 3 minutes — the product changes colour on contact with ferrous residue and brake dust — then rinse thoroughly.
Step 2 — Clean the tyres
Use Q²M TireCleaner with a brush in circular motions to remove the dull layer that naturally forms on the rubber. It is mostly a cosmetic step, but it makes a real visual difference: the tyre regains a deep, even black.
Step 3 — Apply a protection
Once the tyres are dry, apply Q²M Tire Express. This product lays down a thin protective film on the rubber that guards against cracking caused by UV rays and temperature swings. The result: sidewalls that stay black and well-groomed for longer between washes. To be done at the end of the session, after the full wash.
2. The deep wash
A scratch-free wash requires a precise method. Here is the sequence to follow.
Preparation
Gather your equipment before starting: two buckets, a wash mitt, drying microfibres, Q²M Bug&Grime and Q²M Bathe. Spray Q²M Bug&Grime on insect impact zones (windscreen, bonnet, lower panels) and let it work for a few minutes before rinsing.
Pre-wash
Dilute Q²M Bathe at 1:15 in the bucket dedicated to dirt. Apply the foam working from the bottom upwards to lift as many particles as possible before any manual contact. Let it dwell, then rinse.
Contact wash
Fill the clean bucket with the Q²M Bathe dilution. Wash with the mitt from top to bottom, regularly running the mitt through the bucket to release the dirt. Never scrub in circles.
Drying and finishing
Use Q²M Quick Detailer for a streak-free finish on dry surfaces. Dry methodically with a suitable microfibre, always from top to bottom. Q²M SoftWipe EVO can complete the drying on delicate areas.
3. Clean the interior
A Tesla cabin combines materials with very different properties. Each surface calls for a dedicated product.
Plastics and hard surfaces: Q²M InteriorDetailer
Spray Q²M InteriorDetailer onto a microfibre, never directly onto the surface, then wipe, paying particular attention to high-contact areas: central screen, controls, grab handles. The product cleans without leaving a greasy film.
Upholstery fabric: Q²M FabricCleaner
Apply Q²M FabricCleaner with a soft brush in circular motions. Leave for 5 minutes, then remove the residue with a clean microfibre. Suitable for carpets, door cards and fabric seats.
Vegan leather: Q²M LeatherCoat
The vegan leather in a Tesla, particularly on the seats and centre armrest, is sensitive to stains and wear. Apply Q²M LeatherCoat (included in the LeatherSet Mild) with a fine microfibre in steady motions. The product cleans and protects in a single step. For reinforced protection, let it rest before wiping off the excess.
