Switzerland's auto market is witnessing a surge in the popularity of alternative drives. This shift is due to the consistent efforts of automakers and the increasing environmental awareness of consumers. Among these, 28.2 percent were equipped with full or mild hybrid engines, 22.1 percent were electric vehicles, and 10.1 percent were plug-in hybrids. The Tesla Model Y's impressive performance as the best-selling car in Switzerland from January to October 2023 reflects a broader trend toward electric vehicles. Switzerland's auto market is recovering, and the rise of alternative drives demonstrates a growing shift towards more sustainable transportation options.
