FSD Subscription Coming Soon to Canada

FSD Subscription Coming Soon to Canada

FSD: Canadian Tesla owners will soon have the chance to subscribe to Full Self-Driving (FSD), as they have been eagerly awaiting this possibility. After nearly three years since its launch in the US, the FSD subscription option will soon be available in Canada. Last month, Tesla began exploring the legal aspects of bringing the subscription to Canada, and now, there’s a positive update.

Progress Update

According to Rohan Patel, Tesla’s Vice President of Public Policy and Business Development, the team is making significant progress. If everything goes according to plan, subscriptions should be available in Canada “in the coming weeks.”

This Canada update has permission from Elon Musk. To guarantee a seamless implementation without any unforeseen provincial problems, the team is carefully working on technical and regulatory processes.

Elon approved this Canada update, and the team is working on the technical and regulatory procedures to make sure we don’t trigger any unintended provincial issues. Barring any setbacks, I’d expect this in the coming weeks.

FSD Expected Pricing

The exact cost of the subscription in Canada has not yet been revealed, but it is anticipated to be approximately $270 per month, given that it costs $199 in the US. This membership provides access to all FSD capabilities; the fee would be $16,000 upfront in Canada.

The freedom that comes with an FSD subscription is one of its main benefits. Because they can use the product on a month-to-month basis and cancel at any time, subscribers have more affordability and control.

Anticipated Rollout

Alongside the subscription, the FSD beta, which now costs $199 a month in the US, is anticipated to launch in Canada. Owners can pay on a month-to-month basis and discontinue the add-on at any time with this option.

Exciting Developments Ahead

Tesla is also considering offering a Premium Connectivity subscription in Canada, although it isn’t as urgent as the FSD subscription. Although the it has been on sale in Canada since 2022, the subscription plan will make Tesla’s cutting-edge driving features more widely accessible. With Tesla achieving regulatory traction for FSD in Europe and releasing FSD beta v12 to a small group of customers, there is a lot of excitement surrounding the wider release of this much-awaited software update.

The future of autonomous driving is closer than ever, and Canada is poised to be part of this exciting journey.
