Tips for Using Your Touch-Up Pens
Drying Time
This depends largely on the temperature and humidity of the environment.
The drying time also depends on the number of coats applied, the thickness of the application, and the storage temperature of the product.
We recommend 10 minutes because, based on our tests, this is the ideal drying time.
For optimal drying during application, you can apply paint to another surface (such as a bottle or can) and use that surface to check how the paint is drying.
Applicator Brush Size
We chose the most versatile packaging possible. Since damage varies—from scratches and gravel impacts to areas scraped against walls, for example—our brush solution proved to be the most versatile in the initial surveys we conducted during product development. If the size of your damage isn’t suitable for the brush, you can use another application tool—such as a toothpick—which allows for very fine and precise application. We do not claim to offer an applicator compatible with every type of damage; we leave it up to our customers to choose the application method based on the situation.
Cleaning Before Application
Cleaning is a very important step before applying the pen’s paint. Make sure the surface is clean and free of grease.
Cleaning after application
Immediately after applying the paint, clean up any overspray so that touch-up paint is applied only where needed. This will ensure a perfect result, as there will be no excess paint buildup on undamaged areas. To do this, use a soft cloth or a scraper with a cloth to carefully wipe away the excess paint.
