The original Turbine wheels on the Model S Do not use square-shaped tires: 8.5 x 21 ET40 in the front, 9 x 21 ET40 in the rear. This set of four tires solves the problem with a single order, featuring two 245/35 ZR21 96V XL tires in the front and two 265/35 ZR21 101V XL tires in the rear. The entire set comes from the iON line, which Hankook dedicates to battery-powered vehicles.

The 3 Key Strengths
The original staggered tire setup It is the only generation of Model S with different widths from one axle to the other. The train follows this pattern exactly: 245 in the front, 265 in the rear, on the rim sizes specified for each. | The back is heavier At the rear, the 101-rated XL-casing tire can handle 825 kg per tire, compared to 710 kg for the 96 XL at the front. On an electric vehicle, torque is applied from the very first rotation of the wheel: the axle under the most stress should definitely be sized accordingly. | Noise Class A everywhere 69 dB in the front, 70 dB in the rear, both with an A rating: this is the only train on this page with those ratings.
