Aluminum Roof Racks for the Tesla Model Y
These aluminum roof racks for the Tesla Model Y increase the SUV’s carrying capacity: roof boxes, bike racks, ski racks, or roof tents. Manufactured by Farad, an Italian brand based in Turin, they combine an aerodynamic profile with a payload capacity of 100 kg. They are compatible with all Model Y models, including the 2025+ versions, and are installed using the included mounting kit.
Why choose these roof racks?
- High load capacity: up to 100 kg while driving, and 200 kg when stationary (for sleeping in a rooftop tent, for example).
- Versatile T-track: The T-Track system (European standard) is compatible with roof boxes, bike racks, ski racks, and other accessories.
- Aerodynamic aluminum: a profile that minimizes noise and drag while remaining sturdy.
- Quick installation and removal: installation made easy with the dedicated mounting kit.
- Certified safety: TÜV-GS-approved bars that have passed City-Crash testing.
Load Capacity, Dimensions, and Material
Each bar is 100 cm long, with a cross-section of 80 × 26 mm, and is made of aluminum. The system can support a maximum load of 100 kg while driving and up to 200 kg under static load. The bars are TÜV-GS certified, City-Crash tested, and come with a 3-year warranty.
Composition and Mounting System
The product consists of two black, aerodynamic aluminum bars and the PR27 mounting kit, designed for the roof of the Model Y. The T-Track allows for easy attachment of European-standard roof racks: roof boxes, bike racks, and ski racks.
Model Y Compatible
These roof rails are designed exclusively for the Tesla Model Y and are compatible with all model years: 2021–2024 and 2025+ in Standard Propulsion, Premium, and Performance. For the Tesla Model 3 , a dedicated version is available separately.
Installation and Important Notes
Installation is performed using the PR27 kit. During installation, secure the threaded adapters under the glass roof by following the “V”-shaped markings: metal alignment tabs located beneath these markings ensure the adapter is positioned correctly. Once in place, the adapter should not move. The instruction manuals for the bars and the mounting kit are available for download.
