These rims are forged : Each wheel is machined from a solid block of aluminum 6061-T6 Aerospace compacted under pressure. Forging tightens and aligns the metal’s structure, resulting in the lightest and strongest wheel—for the same dimensions—of any manufacturing method, with optimal balance. Reference weight: 11.4 kg in 20 x 9 and 12.0 kg in 20 x 10.

Model S 2022+ and Model X : a front/rear differential setup

Like the factory-installed version, the Model S 2022+ facelift and the Model X come with rear rims that are wider than the front ones. The corresponding kits always include 2 front rims and 2 rear rims, do not reverse them during assembly—see the size chart for detailed measurements. The Model S The total for 2012–2020, on the other hand, amounts to 4 identical rims.

Certifications and Compliance

These rims are certified JWL and SAE, which certify the wheel's structural strength in accordance with Japanese and U.S. testing protocols. No TÜV report is available for this part number at this time.

Installation: What to Expect

The Original nuts Tesla are reusable : No special fasteners are required, which simplifies seasonal tire changes. Allow 30 to 45 minutes for all four wheels using a jack and a torque wrench. Follow the torque specifications listed in your vehicle’s manual and retighten the fasteners after driving the first few kilometers.

Tire installation should be performed by a repair shop equipped with the appropriate machinery, including a balance check after installation. Keep the certification report in the vehicle if required by your country's regulations.

A forged wheel is machined from a solid block of aluminum compressed in a press—in this case, an aerospace-grade 6061-T6 alloy. How do they differ from the original Vélarium rims? Tesla ? ?

The design faithfully replicates that of the Vélarium rims on the new Model S Plaid 2026+, and each set comes with the original wheel hub. The difference lies in the dimensions: Tesla offers this style only in 21-inch size on the Model S redesigned, whereas these replicas are custom-machined in sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches for the Model S — including the 2012–2020 model years — and in 20- or 22-inch sizes for the Model X. Please allow approximately 25 business days for production.

Why are the front and rear different widths ?

The Model S 2022+ and the Model X come from the factory with a staggered tire setup: wider rear tires for better traction. The kits replicate this configuration with 2 front tires and 2 rear tires. Only the Model S The 2012–2020 model comes with four identical wheels.
