Compatible versions of the Tesla Model Y
No version of the Model Y is excluded: the engine, trim level, and type of factory-installed calipers do not affect installation. A Performance can be fitted with these wheels just like a Propulsion, without an adapter, centering ring, or special hardware. Since all four wheels are identical, they can be installed on either the front or rear axles, allowing for standard rotation as they wear—one of the simplest ways to extend the life of a set of tires on such a heavy vehicle.
Installation: What You Need to Know
Since the wheels arrive pre-mounted and balanced, the process is simply a matter of installing them on the vehicle. Allow 30 to 45 minutes for all four wheels using a jack and a torque wrench. The original nuts Tesla can be reused: no need to order anything extra, and swapping them out for your winter tires takes just a few minutes. Follow the torque specifications listed in your vehicle’s manual and retighten the fasteners after the first few kilometers. We still recommend having the work done at a service center if you don’t have the proper lifting equipment.

Three models are available, all in 255/45R19 XL—the XL designation indicates the reinforced load capacity required by the weight of an electric SUV. The Hankook S1 evo3 (K127) is the most versatile of the three, the Kumho PS-91 is the most performance-oriented, and the Pirelli Powergy prioritizes fuel efficiency—a key factor for electric vehicles, where rolling resistance directly affects range. Once you’ve selected your tires, we’ll take care of the rest: mounting them on the rims, balancing them, and installing the four TPMS sensors. The complete wheels are shipped to you ready to install, with no need for an intermediate visit to a tire shop.
