The rear sub-frame of the Model 3, to which all suspension arms are connected, is mounted on the chassis with rubber bushes. These bushes are quite firm, but still allow slight movement of the entire rear sub-frame under heavy loads. This can cause a change in thrust angle and allows lateral movement of the entire subframe during cornering, creating a disconnect between the driver's understanding of rear tire grip.
