This kit pairs the Explorer 300D (288 Wh LiFePO4, 140 W USB-C and 12 V socket) with the SolarSaga 40W Air, a folding solar panel weighing just 900 g that fits in a backpack. Together they form a self-sufficient solar generator for hiking, bivouacking, kayaking or vanlife: the panel recharges the power station during the day, and the power station runs your USB and 12 V devices in the evening.
| What the power station can power: estimated runtime | |
|---|---|
| Device | Estimated runtime |
| Smartphone (15 Wh) | about 16 charges |
| Laptop (60 W) | about 4 h 05 min |
| 12 V compressor cool box (45 W on average) | about 5 h 25 min |
For a Tesla road trip with nights in a tent or wild camping, this kit provides an energy reserve that does not depend on the car: the power station recharges from the 12 V socket while you drive, then the panel takes over when you stop. There is no 230 V outlet: for a mains appliance, see the Explorer 500 v2 or the Explorer 1000 v2.

Jackery does not publish a charging time for this pairing. In full sun, a 40 W panel produces 25 to 35 W in practice: allow a sunny day to recover a good part of the charge. For faster charging, the SolarSaga 100W recharges it in about 3.5 h.
Yes, the SolarSaga 40W Air's multifunction cable has 5 V USB-A and USB-C outputs for a phone or a lamp.
