The Explorer 500 v2 is the most compact 230 V power station in the range: 512 Wh of LiFePO4, two 500 W 230 V outlets (1,000 W peak), two USB-C ports (one at 100 W) and a 12 V socket, for just 5.7 kg. It recharges from the mains in 1.3 h, and its battery is rated for 6,000 cycles. It is the right size for a weekend in a van, an electric car's Camp Mode or working from the garden.
| What it can power: estimated runtime | |
|---|---|
| Device | Estimated runtime |
| Smartphone (15 Wh) | about 29 charges |
| Laptop (60 W) | about 7 h 15 min |
| 12 V compressor cool box (45 W on average) | about 9 h 40 min |
| Internet router (20 W) | about 22 h |
| Fridge-freezer (0.8 kWh per day) | about 0.5 day |
| Capsule coffee machine (1,300 W, 1 min per coffee) | not enough power |
| 2,000 W kettle (1 litre) | not enough power |
| E-bike (500 Wh battery) | partial charge |
Estimate: capacity × 0.85 (conversion losses) ÷ device consumption. Actual runtime depends on the device, the temperature and how it is used.
In a Tesla in Camp Mode, the Explorer 500 v2 adds what the car lacks: two real 230 V outlets. It powers a laptop and a monitor, a lamp, a fan or a cool box all evening. Its 500 W is not enough for a kettle or a coffee machine (over 1,000 W): for those appliances, step up to the Explorer 1000 v2. It recharges while you drive from the 12 V socket in about 6 h with the car charging cable.

No, most coffee machines and kettles draw more than 1,000 W, beyond the power station's 500 W. For these appliances, choose at least the Explorer 1000 v2 (1,500 W).
About 7 hours for a 60 W laptop, based on the power station's usable capacity.
One SolarSaga 100W (6.8 h in full sun), two SolarSaga 100W joined with a connector (3.4 h) or one SolarSaga 200W, within the 200 W solar input limit.
Yes, it charges and discharges from -20 °C to 45 °C according to Jackery, which is rare for a LiFePO4 battery.
