Jackery Explorer 2000 v2: 2 kWh and 2,200 W in 17.5 kg

The Explorer 2000 v2 doubles the capacity of the Explorer 1000 v2: 2,042 Wh of LiFePO4 and 2,200 W continuous (4,400 W peak) to power a kettle, a microwave or a hotplate. Thanks to its GaN inverter, it weighs just 17.5 kg, one of the lightest in its class. It recharges from the mains in 1 h 20 min in emergency mode and serves as an uninterruptible power supply (20 ms) at home.

With your Tesla or electric car

With a Tesla, the Explorer 2000 v2 is designed for long stays in Camp Mode and for families: it runs a kettle or a microwave and lasts several evenings without recharging. It travels in the main boot (33.5 × 26.4 × 29.2 cm, 17.5 kg). From the car's 12 V socket, charging is slow (about 24 h): it is better to recharge it from the mains at your stopover, or in the sun with two SolarSaga 200W.

Charging

• From the mains: about 1 h 40 min with standard charging, 1 h 20 min with emergency charging mode enabled in the app. The mains cable is included.
• Solar: up to 400 W of panels on 2 × DC8020: about 5 h 30 min with two SolarSaga 200W in full sun, according to Jackery.
• In the car: about 24 h from the 12 V socket with the car charging cable (sold separately).
• From the alternator: about 5 h 35 min with the Jackery DC-DC alternator charger, for vans and motorhomes with combustion engines.

Frequently asked questions

Can I plug in a kettle?

Yes, up to 2,200 W continuous, which covers most kettles. A 2,000 W kettle uses about 100 Wh to boil one litre.

Is it expandable?

No. To add batteries later, choose the Explorer 2000 Plus v2 (up to 12 kWh).

How long will a fridge run during a power cut?

About two days for a recent fridge-freezer using 0.8 kWh per day, and longer with a solar panel.

Which solar panels are compatible?

The SolarSaga 100W and 200W, up to 400 W in total across its two inputs. With two SolarSaga 200W, allow about 5.5 h in full sun. Use the same model on both inputs.
