Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus v2: 2,400 W, expandable up to 12 kWh

New for October 2026, the Explorer 2000 Plus v2 is the ultimate power station for home backup and motorhomes: 2,048 Wh of LiFePO4, 2,400 W continuous (4,800 W peak) across three 230 V outlets, 800 W of solar input and up to 5 expansion batteries to reach 12 kWh. It is 33% lighter than the previous 2000 Plus (19.1 kg) and its battery is rated for 6,000 cycles.

With your Tesla or electric car

For Tesla owners, the 2000 Plus v2 makes most sense as a home backup base and for long stays in a motorhome or van. It travels in the main boot (36.6 × 25.5 × 27.2 cm, 19.1 kg). From the car's 12 V socket, charging is slow (about 24 h): rely on the mains or on solar instead.

Charging

• From the mains: about 1 h 20 min with standard charging, 1 h 10 min with emergency charging mode enabled in the app. The mains cable is included.
• Solar: up to 800 W of panels on 2 × DC8020: about 3 h 30 min with four SolarSaga 200W, 7 h with two in full sun, according to Jackery.
• In the car: about 24 h from the 12 V socket with the car charging cable (sold separately).
• From the alternator: about 4 h with the Jackery DC-DC alternator charger, for vans and motorhomes with combustion engines.

Which expansion batteries are compatible?

The Battery Pack 2000 Plus v2 (2,048 Wh), up to 5 units for 12,288 Wh in total. The older Battery Pack 2000 Plus is not compatible with the v2 version.

How many solar panels can I connect?

Up to 800 W, for example four SolarSaga 200W (two per input). Use the same model and the same number of panels on each input.

Can it power a house during a power cut?

It directly powers priority appliances (fridge, freezer, router, lighting, boiler with a plug) for one to several days, and much longer with expansion batteries. Connecting it to the consumer unit requires a transfer switch installed by an electrician.

Does it recharge while driving?

Yes, from the 12 V socket (about 24 h) or, in a combustion-engine van or motorhome, in about 4 h with the Jackery DC-DC alternator charger.
