The R55 18-inch winter complete wheels for Tesla Model 3 bring together four 8.5 × 18 rims fitted with 235/45 R18 tyres, mounted, balanced and ready to fit. They suit the Model 3 2019-2023 as well as the Model 3 Highland 2024+, with the exception of the Performance 2024+. The five-spoke design of the R55 comes in a matt black or light grey finish, and pressure sensors are optional. In 18 inches the tyre sidewall stays generous: more comfort on roads damaged by frost, and a rim better protected from snow-covered kerbs.

Compatible Tesla Model 3 versions

This set fits all Tesla Model 3 built from 2019 to 2023 — Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range and Performance — as well as the Model 3 Highland 2024+ in Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive, Long Range and Premium versions. Only the Model 3 Performance 2024+ is excluded: its larger front brake calipers do not accept an 18-inch rim. Fitting: what to expect

As the wheels arrive mounted and balanced, the job comes down to fitting them on the car. Allow around 30 to 45 minutes for all four wheels with a jack and a torque wrench. The original Tesla nuts can be reused, which makes the seasonal swap easier. Follow the tightening torque given by Tesla in your vehicle’s manual and re-tighten the fixings after the first few miles. Fitting at a workshop is still advisable if you do not have suitable lifting equipment. Once fitted, select your winter tyres in the “Controls › Service › Wheel and Tyre Configuration” screen: the car recalibrates its sensors more quickly.

Choosing your winter tyres: how does it work?

You choose your tyres directly on this page, using the “Complete with” option. All the tyres offered are 235/45 R18 and are winter tyres in the strict sense, bearing the 3PMSF mountain marking. The details of each tyre — load and speed ratings, EU label — appear on its own product page, to be checked before confirming your choice. Then select your sensor option: set of 4 pressure sensors for Model 3, or set without sensors.

Once the tyres and the sensor option are selected, we assemble, balance and fit the sensors, then ship the wheels ready to fit, separately from the rest of your order. In the mountains, Tesla recommends König-type chains, to be fitted on the rear axle only.

Swiss type approval

Swiss customers: a specific Swiss type-approval certificate can be issued. Add the “Swiss type-approval certificate” product to your basket when ordering your set, then send us the requested information. Once the file is complete, the certificate is sent by post within around 5 working days. It is sent separately from the rest of the order, so its lead time does not delay the delivery of your wheels.
