Alcantara® dashboard for the Tesla, Model 3, and Model Y
Give the interior of your Tesla Model 3 or Tesla Model Y a level of finish worthy of the most high-end models with this genuine Alcantara® dashboard. It visually replaces the original hard plastic with a premium fabric covering, in the style of the Tesla Model S / X and supercars that use Alcantara® to trim their interiors.
Tesla 's interior, inspired by high-end models
On Model 3 and Model Y, Tesla has already chosen Alcantara® for the door panels but has retained a plastic dashboard. This part brings the whole look together: the dashboard is fully upholstered in Alcantara® 9002, the most common black/gray color, identical to that of the original black interiors.

- Model 3 /Y interior now more closely matches the finish quality of the Model S, and X.
Alcantara® Made in Italy and OEM-based manufacturing
GreenDrive developed this product in collaboration with a partner upholstery shop that works directly with original parts Tesla. The Alcantara® used is certified “Made in Italy,” and each cover is designed to fit the OEM dashboard perfectly, ensuring:
- a cut that fits perfectly with Tesla, Model 3, and Model Y;
- an original-like finish with OEM integration;
- even stitching and a clean fit across the entire width.
For safety, the dashboard is pre-cut around the passenger airbag: the cutout is invisible but ensures that the airbag can deploy unimpeded in the event of an accident.
Customization: stitching and front trim
This Alcantara® dashboard cover is fully customizable:
- Choose the color of the topstitching to match, for example, your seatbelts, trim, or steering wheel.
- Choose the color of the front trim (the visible part on the driver’s or passenger’s side), which can be either matching or contrasting.
If you want a uniform look, simply choose the front trim in the same shade as the rest—that is, Alcantara® 9002.
For more advanced customization, a complete Alcantara® color chart is available with numerous color options (red, blue, beige, light gray, green, etc.).
Product Contents and Finish
The product comes in an official Alcantara® pouch, along with an application spatula.
You will receive:
- the Alcantara®-covered dashboard, pre-cut to accommodate the airbag;
- an Alcantara® protective cover;
- a tool to help apply the adhesive.
Installation: Principles and Key Steps
To achieve a perfect finish, installation requires removing the original dashboard (wood or white, depending on your interior). This allows the self-adhesive Alcantara to be tucked under the edges of the dashboard for a clean look with no visible bulges.
Two important points:
- Remove the original dashboard to ensure the material is fully wrapped under the visible edges.
- Remove the long grille at the base of the windshield so you can slide the covering under it and achieve a clean front edge.
Disassembly is necessary, but the process can be done at home by a careful DIYer: it’s not mandatory to go through a professional.
However, if you prefer to have it installed at a shop, GreenDrive has over 60 certified installers across Europe who are experienced with this type of interior customization at Tesla.
