Winter wheels for the Volkswagen ID.3: what you need to know

Built in Zwickau since late 2019 and delivered since September 2020, the ID.3 was facelifted in March 2023. Its wheels follow the standard 5x112 bolt pattern, 57.1 mm centre bore, with M14 x 1.5 bolts. Our complete winter wheels are delivered mounted and balanced; you choose the winter tyre on the product page, using the “Complete with” option.

Original sizes

The fitment is the same on both axles. Even so, check your vehicle's certificate of conformity (COC).

Tyre pressure and snow chains

Pressure monitoring is indirect: it compares wheel rotation speeds using the ABS sensors, with no sensors in the rims. After a wheel change, the owner's manual asks you to re-teach the system once the pressures have been adjusted. For snow chains, Volkswagen restricts them to the rear wheels and to approved rim/tyre combinations, and recommends fine-link chains of 9 mm maximum, including the lock.
