Pre-configured 433 MHz TPMS valves for Tesla

These pre-configured 433 MHz TPMS valves are specially designed for Tesla rims fitted with "old generation" pressure sensors. They arrive ready to mount on your rims and are recognized by the TPMS system without complex programming, making them an ideal solution for replacing faulty original sensors or equipping a second set of wheels (winter or summer).

Price, packaging and typical use

The price indicated on the data sheet corresponds to one TPMS sensor. To completely equip a Tesla (a set of wheels), you'll need 4 pre-configured sensors, one per rim.

These 433 MHz TPMS valves are particularly suitable for the following applications:

  • replacement of a defective original sensor on Model 3 / Y / S / X "old generation" rims;
  • fitting a second set of rims (winter or summer), while retaining a pressure display for each wheel;
  • reconditioning a used vehicle whose TPMS sensors are no longer recognized.

Pre-configured for Tesla, they are ready to use: once fitted and the tires inflated to the correct pressure, the vehicle may need just a few kilometers to automatically detect the new valves, as with the original sensors.

What's the use of a 433 MHz pressure sensor on Tesla?

A TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensor is a small electronic module integrated into the tire valve. It measures the tire's internal pressure and regularly transmits the information to the car's ECU, which then displays it on the screen and triggers a warning in the event of insufficient pressure.

Driving with the correct pressure means :

  • improve safety (better roadholding, more stable braking) ;
  • reduce premature tire wear (avoids wear on the shoulders or in the center);
  • optimize energy consumption and therefore the range of your Tesla;
  • reduce the risk of bursting or unpredictable behavior in the event of serious under-inflation.

433 MHz sensors communicate by radio frequency on this standard frequency, widely used in the automotive industry for TPMS systems. This technology remains reliable, low in energy consumption and well mastered, which explains its presence on the first generations of Model S, Model X and Model 3.

The difference between 433 MHz sensors and Bluetooth (BLE) TPMS sensors

For more recent Tesla models, the brand has switched to Bluetooth (BLE) TPMS sensors. Understanding the difference between the two systems will help you choose the right product:

433 MHz sensors

  • Radio communication on the 433 MHz frequency.
  • Used on many internal combustion and electric vehicles of all makes.
  • Compatible with Tesla up to Model 3 pre-2021 and Model S / X pre-2022.
  • An economical solution, perfectly suited if your Tesla was delivered with this type of sensor.

Bluetooth (BLE) sensors

  • Communication via Bluetooth Low Energy technology.
  • Used on recent Model 3 and Model Y models, as well as restyled Model S and X models.
  • Enables the vehicle to communicate directly with each sensor via Bluetooth.
  • Not compatible with 433 MHz systems: they cannot be interchanged.

If you would like Bluetooth (BLE) pressure sensors compatible with your Tesla Model 3 or Y from 2021 and your Tesla Model S and X from 2022, please find ourBLE (Bluetooth) pressure sensors/valves for Tesla Model 3 2021+ or Tesla Model Y - ALCAR
